I wrote a tiny little program about 60 bytes long on the old computer to receive all the serial bytes. The COM1 device does not work in DOS7 nor DOS6.22, so I need a Win98 solution. The program lies within Internet & Network Tools, more precisely. The common filenames for the programs installer are TeraTerm Pro 3.1.3.exe, ttermpro.exe, ttssh.exe, unvise32.exe or VSW74F9558BA167.exe etc. The actual developer of the free software is Ayera Technology,INC. However, this creates a new problem: CR with no LF are converted by HT into CR+LF, which is all right for text files but useless for binary files.
